The best online adventure game/online escape room I’ve ever played. And I’ve played a lot. Thoroughly recommend.

Here are the most common questions you have asked us. Contact us if you have any other questions.
You can play on any day, at any time, within a year of purchasing tickets. As soon as you purchase Moriarty's Game: A Killer in the Hive you'll be able to start your game.
Choose how many players you would like to play with, then enter your name, email address and payment information. Once booked, you will receive an email confirmation with the login for your game.
You'll set up your teams after you have booked. You can do this straight after booking, or at a later point.
Sign in to your game, and assign players in teams of 1-5 players. Each team has a team captain and team name. Provide an email address and UK or US mobile number for each team captain.
Once you have set up your teams, team captains will receive a confirmation email and text message. The captain of team 1 starts the game by replying to their confirmation text message.
All players can be set up to receive messages. Once you have set up your teams, each team captain will get a text message from HiddenCity. Captains can reply with a teammate’s mobile number e.g. “07900 123 123”. That teammate will now also receive clues, and can reply on behalf of their team, too. Add further teammates in separate messages.
You can also add teammates in the same way at any point during the game.
Text messages that you send are charged at your standard rate, or may be free if you have 'bundled texts' with your phone package. There is no charge to receive messages.
With two or more players you'll set up teams of 1-5 players. Players within one team play collaboratively. If you have multiple teams you'll play competitively head-to-head, in a race to complete the game.
You certainly can. Set up a video call using your preferred platform, such as Zoom, Skype, Teams, etc, between yourself and any other players playing collaboratively on part of the same team. This will help you to communicate and work together throughout the game. You may find it helpful to have one person ‘share’ their screen, so everyone can see and hear the same thing. You may also find it easier to have this video call on a separate device to your mobile phone.
Only be on a video call during the game with people who you are collaborating with, so you can follow your individual story, uninterrupted by the progress of others. If you’re keen to check how the other teams are doing whilst you are playing, Sign in to your game to view a live leaderboard.
Your game will take around 60-90 minutes, depending on the speed of your clue-solving. There is no set time limit for the game. The game will run continuously once you start, until you have completed the game.
Yes - if all players in a team want to stop playing, then the team captain or other team member can text ‘quit’. This will stop that team’s game, and the team will not be able to continue at a later point. If an individual wants to leave during the game, then you can stop them from receiving messages by removing their number from the game. You can do this by texting ‘remove’ followed by their mobile number (e.g. ‘remove 07900 123123’). Players can also do this themselves.
Yes, tickets are fully flexible, so you can get a refund if you don't play.
